Week 24: Practical Completion Inspection

163 days after the commencement of the house construction we had our PCI.
We bought a House & Land package off-the-plan and it was a 13 months wait to see our dream home finally ready.
So, it was a rather exciting and happy day for us.

We had met the Site Supervisor 5 weeks ago and we had already told him all our concerns, and they were all attended to.
PCI was pretty smooth and just a few items will need attention.
We were too busy though going around the house and checking everything, so no pictures were taken.

The items that still need attention are:
- Connect stormwater to downpipe @ front porch.
- Paint touch ups as per blue stickers (about 20 spots).
- Paint underside of mould to front façade.
- Missing grout floor in pantry (2 spots)
- Fit off Heating/Cooling
- Install all feature light fittings
- Install GPO for alarm box

Handover will be in a week time and we are looking forward to be on our home soon.

Final Week Before PCI

Week 23: PCI booked, Carpet, Painting and Termite Protection

Façade got a little more painting done, but bad weather is delaying it to be fully painted:

Wrong underlay was changed. Now carpet feels really soft and nice.
Hallway carpet fitted:

Ensuite got a couple of spot lights to replace our mirror light that didn't fit in there:

Termite Protection System fitted:
